It was signed today, the agreement between the Albanian Football Federation and ‘Albstar’ company , for the construction of the capital’s new stadium. In a ceremony held in the premises of ‘Sheraton’ Hotel , was presented the project and the agreement was signed by both parties. The works will start as soon as the project is approved , and the construction permit is given. Firstly , the President of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF) Armand Duka, introduced a material about the investments that this institution has completed in order to improve the infrastructure in Albania. ‘’We realized that without infrastructure there cannot be development and quality of football. For this reason, we have invested in many projects , and their impact is already visible. ‘’37 million euro have been invested during a 5-year period 2011-2016, and the results are significant ’’- underlined Duka. Through figures and graphs he made and overview of the projects completed by AFF. Afterwards , Prime Minister Edi Rama received as a gift from the President of AFF , the jersey of the national team , jersey that will be used in ‘France 2016’’. In his speech , PM Edi Rama , stressed the social importance of sports in the social life of the country. He praised the efforts of AFF and President Duka in changing and improving continuously the country’s infrastructure. ‘’ ‘’By praising your efforts and the changes that you have made , we have and we will continue to support you. As we will support every effort to make football and sports in general enjoyable for the Albanian people’’. He stressed the importance of constructing the new stadium , which will be a new beginning and an important event for Albania. Present in this activity was the UEFA representative Tierry Favre. He praised the fact that in terms of infrastructure , Albania has made significant progress. ‘’ UEFA has assisted , monitored and supported every project of AFF for the construction of infrastructure. ‘’ We are thrilled that Albania will have another modern sports facility ‘’ ended his word the representative of UEFA. Important details of the project were presented for the public by the architect Marco Casamonti, founder of the renowned Italian studio ‘’Archea’’ and the architect Giovanni Polazzi , founder and chief of ‘’Archea’’ The project was well received by all the participants. Later , President Armando Duka and the representative of the company ‘’Albstar’’ Idajet Ismailaj who is in charge of the construction of the stadium, signed the agreement in the presence of all the participants.
