The Albanian Football Association has always supported the social initiatives. Today’s afternoon in the stadium ‘’Besa’’ of Kavaja was organized a friendly match between the U-17 team of the Durresi district and the team IEVP-Kavaje. This awareness activity entitled ‘’ I chose to live without violence’’ organized by the association ‘’Meridia Albania ‘’ is supported by the Albanian Football Association , the General Directory of Prisons , the Ministry of Justice and the Municipality of Kavaje. Present in the activity , except the high representatives of the Ministry of Justice , the Director of Prisons , and deputy chairman’s of the Municipality of Kavaja , was the President of the Albanian Football Federation , Mr. Armand Duka. After congratulating the team of U-17 of Durres and the team of the prison institution , the personalities conveyed the messages of the campaign against the Violence of Women and Girls in Albania.
The aim of the activity is the increase of the awareness of the public opinion for preventing the violence against women and girls through sport’s activities. The match ended with the result 5-3 and many citizens of Kavaja followed the match in the stadium. After the end of the match , President Armand Duka praised such events and confirmed that the Federation will support such activities in the future. He also requested to the General Director of Prisons to organize such activities between the prisons , always with the support of the Albanian Football Association.
