Albanian national football team wins 3-0 in the match against Serbia held on October 14th, 2014 at the stadium “Partizani” in Belgrade and interrupted after 42’, not to restart again. The decision was taken today by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, which has reversed the decisions of the Disciplinary and Appeals Committee of UEFA.
According to the decision of the UEFA Disciplinary Committee, Albania was sentenced to 100,000 euro in fines and losses of match 3-0 on the table because of it’s not appearance in the playing field. Serbia was sentenced to 100,000 euro fine and 3 points were removed to it on the table because of deficiencies in the organization of the match. Appeals Committee upheld the same decision.
For this reason AFF addressed to Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, presenting a complete documentation of all violations identified in this match.
After yesterday’s decision of CAS, Albania goes to second place in the standings of Group I, along with Denmark with 10 points. Portugal is leading the group with 12 points.
