The president of AFA, Armand Duka has been re-elected as the head of the Albanian football. The football community decided to re-elect for the upcoming 4 years the incumbent Mr. Duka with 38 votes in the second round of voting. Meanwhile the other candidate Mr. Bashkim Fino took 24 votes in this round. After the voting process president Duka declared : ‘’I am happy and excited , not for the fact that I will be president , but for the credibility and the big obligation that I feel , that from today it starts something more difficult for me. The Assembly was held within the required standards, and shows that we are an organization with high standards within the society and I guarantee to all that those things that we discussed in these months will be part of
the discussion , we will correct them and we will do our best. I want to thank the candidates and the guests. I promise that my dedication will be higher than before . I thank you all’’, he concluded.
Meanwhile, the vice-president of UEFA, Mr.Grigoriy Surkis declared; ‘’Dear friends, I am very happy to participate in this Assembly, that resulted that the family of Albanian football acts of the basis of tolerance and democracy. I want to congratulate Mr. Duka for his election as president of AFA for another 4-year mandate. I am convinced that today there were not contestation. It was proved that there is solidarity and tolerance principles. Join around football, football is a happy event for the public. We should look after football. I thank you for the hospitality and I wish victories in all events. Thank you for your attention’’- declared vice-president of UEFA , Mr. Surkis.
