Albania shines at “Arena Kombëtare”. The red and blacks secure their first win in the new World Cup qualifying campaign, deservedly defeating Andorra 3–0 at the “Arena Kombëtare”.
Rey Manaj’s two-goal in the first half and Myrto Uzuni’s goal in the second half were decisive in this match.
Coach Silvinho started the match against Andorra with the following starting lineup: Thomas Strakosha (GK), Ivan Balliu, Arlind Ajeti, Berat Gjimshiti (C), Naser Aliji, Juljan Shehu, Kristjan Asllani, Qazim Laçi, Armando Broja, Arbër Hoxha, and Rey Manaj.
The match started with spectacle and red and black dominance, with the first goal coming in the 9th minute from Rey Manaj. Asllani’s assist was crucial, and the striker sent the ball into the net with a header.
Ten minutes later, Manaj doubled the lead. Broja was fantastic, as he assisted Manaj from inside the box, and the striker sent the ball into the net with a brilliant shot.
The red and blacks dominated the match until the end of the first half, but they were unable to find the back of the net again. The first half ended 2–0.
The second half was completely dominated by Albania. A very well-organized setup on the field, leaving no space for the opponent and continuously threatening the opposite goal.
Coach Sylvinho made several substitutions in the second half, bringing on Marash Kumbulla, Adrion Pajaziti, and Myrto Uzuni.
It was Uzuni who scored the third goal. The red and black striker, with a fantastic header, sent the ball into the net.
In the end, the match finished 3-0 in favor of Albania, securing the first victory in Group K. The red and blacks remain in second place with 3 points, while the next match is against Serbia on June 7 at the “Arena Kombëtare.”
