Since 2022, the House of Football, the most modern sports complex in the Western Balkans, has become one of Albania’s leading sporting hubs. Located next to Tirana’s Artificial Lake, it serves as the administrative and technical headquarters of the Albanian Football Association (FSHF), hosting federation activities, national team training camps, coaching courses, and football development programmes.
In a feature produced by FSHF TV, this landmark investment in Albanian football is presented in detail. Covering an area of approximately six hectares, the complex includes three state-of-the-art football pitches—two natural grass and one artificial turf.
The complex also features a physiotherapy centre, SPA facilities, a modern gym, the VAR centre, and the FSHF TV studios, making the House of Football a comprehensive, multifunctional sports facility.
FSHF General Secretary Ilir Shulku and the complex’s administrator Ledio Ndini discuss the importance of such a facility for the development of Albanian football, the high standards it offers, and the new projects planned for the future.
“There are three football pitches where official activities are held. This makes the complex truly unique, as there is no other facility like it anywhere in the region. From my experience, I have visited similar complexes at other football associations. Türkiye has an excellent complex, as does Bulgaria, but compared to the rest of the region, ours is unquestionably the best,” said FSHF General Secretary Ilir Shulku.
One of the most ambitious upcoming projects is the construction of a modern hotel within the complex, which will serve Albania’s national teams, visiting sports delegations, and, when no sporting activities are taking place, the general public.
“In the area behind the main office building, the House of Football Hotel will be built. It will feature five above-ground floors and two underground levels for parking. The hotel will accommodate national teams across all age groups, as well as foreign teams participating in sporting events organised here. During periods without sporting activities, it will also be open to the public and operate as a regular hotel,” said the complex administrator, Ledio Ndini.
With its modern infrastructure, advanced technology, and wide range of services for both sport and the community, the House of Football has become a symbol of football’s development in Albania and the country’s premier sports centre.
