After the opening of the women’s football championship for the elementary schools in the Regional Zone of Fier, this novelty organized by AFA has started this week for the elementary schools in the Regional Zone of Shkodra.
The largest and selected schools of the city of Shkodra participate in this championship, which will be attached to the main teams of the city and will serve as a basis for finding quality elements for the future. This is a project of the Albanian Football Association that has as its main goal the support and attract girls in football. The project foresees the creation and support of 100 elementary school teams throughout Albania, which will start with 60 teams for the first two seasons 2020-2022 and by 2024, 100 teams will be formed, which will return women to football, in a genuine sports movement.
AFA will support schools and girls by donating uniforms, balls and financially supporting physical education teachers for the work they will conduct.
