UEFA organizes a meeting in Sarajevo with the leaders of Southeastern European Football Associations

UEFA held a meeting this week with leaders from 13 European football associations in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The regional meeting, attended by top football officials, included UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, UEFA’s National Associations Director, Zoran Lakovič, as well as the presidents and general secretaries of Southeastern European associations.

Also present at the meeting was the President of the Albanian Football Association, Arman Duka.

The host of the meeting, the President of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Association, Vicko Zeljkovič, emphasized the importance of cooperation for the development of football in the region. He noted that joint efforts, good communication, and the exchange of knowledge could contribute to improving competitions and sports infrastructure in these countries.

During the meeting, several key topics were discussed, including the HatTrick program, youth football development models, coach education, an analysis of the current season of European club competitions, and the protection of competition integrity in football.

UEFA’s administration provided a detailed overview of current issues in football in these areas.

The regional meeting was attended by officials from the football associations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Cyprus.
