UEFA DEVELOPMENT CONCLUDES THE U-16 TOURNAMENT, TRIUMPH GEORGIA, THE RED&BLACKS FINISH WITH 3 DRAWS

Albania U-16 led by coach Elvin Beqiri has played today the third and last match of the tournament ‘’UEFA Development U-16’’, organized by the Albanian Football Association at the Sport Center in Kamez. This tournament saw the participation of teams such as Georgia, Lithuania and Algeria, with the latter Albania managed to finish 0-0 the full time and losing with the penalty shootout, 6-5.
The first half was even, with both teams studying the opponent’s game and hit the weakest spot. Our team substituted some of the players in the first half in order to give the chance to all the players to play in this tournament. In the second half of the game both teams went to the offensive, seeking the victory and concluding in the best way possible this tournament, but despite the opportunities the result remained unchanged. The full time ended with a draw 0-0 and according to the rules both teams go to the penalty shootout, with the Algerians being more precise and triumphing 6-5.
The U-16 national team in its first match played on 25 February against Lithuania scored a 2-2 draw. The second match against Georgia ended in a draw too (1-1). The next match between Lithuania and Georgia ended in a draw 0-0, with Lithuania triumphing after the penalties 5-4.
