This week, 37 young talents from the “Elite Youth Development Academy” had a special meeting with Alban Bushi, the head coach of the Albanian U21 national team. Bushi held an open discussion with the players, starting by sharing his life story and then engaging in a dialogue with them.
Coach Bushi spoke about the early stages of his career as a footballer, his journey with both club and national teams, the challenges he faced, and the sacrifices made in pursuit of his dream to become a professional player. He also emphasized the importance of wearing the national team jersey and representing all Albanians, no matter where they are in the world.
The children were actively involved in the conversation, asking questions about key moments in Bushi’s career, such as: the most special goal he scored, his favorite player, the toughest opponents he faced, and the emotions of playing for the national team.
At the end of the meeting, the U21 coach shared valuable advice for the young players, drawing from his personal experience as both a footballer and a coach. According to Bushi, it is crucial for a young player to have a clear goal and work wholeheartedly toward it, maintaining discipline and teamwork in order to achieve both individual and team objectives.
