U-21 Euro 2027 finals / FSHF Executive Committee approves investment for new pitches at “Air Albania” & “Arena e Demave”
One of the decisions taken by the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) at its latest meeting concerns infrastructure investments, as part of preparations for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2027 finals, which will be hosted in Albania.
The Executive Committee approved the request from the Infrastructure Commission to replace the pitch at “Air Albania” stadium, as well as to upgrade its base, in order to meet the highest UEFA standards required for hosting international matches and tournament finals.
In the same direction, the Committee also approved the project submitted by FK Partizani, which includes the replacement of the current pitch at its stadium and the construction of two new training pitches for the needs of this major event.
In cooperation with the club, FSHF will carry out an investment to convert the pitch from artificial turf to natural grass, ensuring optimal playing conditions. In addition, one of the two new pitches in the Partizani complex will be natural grass, dedicated to training sessions for participating teams during the tournament, while the other will feature artificial turf.
These investments represent an important step toward meeting international standards and increasing the country’s infrastructure capacity, confirming FSHF’s commitment to successfully organizing the U-21 Euro 2027 finals.
The works are expected to begin soon, with the goal of being completed on time and in full compliance with UEFA requirements.
