The Albanian U-19 girls’ national team will begin its training camp this Saturday in preparation for the second-round matches of the 2025 UEFA European Championship for this age group. Albania has been drawn into Group B4 of League B, along with Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, and Montenegro.
Coach Luçije Gjini has called up 20 players for these crucial matches, aiming to secure promotion to League A for the first time. The squad mainly consists of players from domestic clubs, while seven of them play abroad, representing teams like Leverkusen, SVT 08, Hamburg, Monterosso, Derby County, Leontes, and Mitrovica from Kosovo.
The team will gather in Durrës at the “Sol” complex. Their first match will be against Montenegro on February 18th at “Elbasan Arena” stadium, kicking off at 14:30. Three days later, on February 21st, Albania will face Azerbaijan at “Egnatia Arena,” also at 14:30. The final group match will be on February 24th against Northern Ireland at “Elbasan Arena,” again with a 14:30 start time.
All Group B4 matches will take place in Albania, on February 18, 21, and 24. Albania’s games will be hosted at “Elbasan Arena” and “Egnatia Arena,” while the other matches will be held at the “House of Football” facilities.
