The Albanian U-17 National Team played the final match of the second round of qualifiers for the European Championship “Albania 2025” in Group B6 today.
In this match, the red and blacks were defeated with a score of 1-2.
The only goal for Albania was scored by Leon Myrtaj in the 20th minute.
Coach Andrea Tedesco started the match against Wales with the following starting lineup: Raffaele Huli (GK), Darli Kurti, Fabian Hallidri, Andreas Llana, Eros Ndrecka, Alex Ramku, Fabjano Nuhaj (C), Alen Vukaj, Leon Myrtaj, Evangjelos Gjoka, and Arman Durmisi.
Albania started the match well and found the first goal in the 20th minute, scored by Leon Myrtaj. The first half ended with this score.
The second half began with a change for Albania. Alen Vukaj was substituted by Dijar Ferati. Wales equalized in the 63rd minute through William Grainger.
The visitors turned the game around in the 76th minute with the same player, William Grainger.
The red and blacks continued to push for an equalizer until the end, with coach Tedesco also bringing on Emiljano Mihana and Serxhio Vogli, but to no avail. In the end, the match concluded with a 1-2 victory for Wales.
The matches of Group B6 in the second round of the European Championship qualifiers were held in our country, under the organization of the Football Association. Wales leads the group with 4 points, while Albania is in second place with 3 points.
