The Socca European Championship finals are coming to Albania, says Demneri: A great opportunity to promote minifootball

The Socca European Championship will be organized in Albania for the first time, marking an important moment for the development of minifootball in the country. In a statement for FSHF.org, the head of Socca Albania, Jurgen Demneri, said that this event represents a major achievement and an excellent opportunity to promote Albania on the international stage.

“For the first time, the European Minifootball Championship is coming to Albania. Albania has been participating in international tournaments since 2023 and is part of Socca. We have achieved very good results, such as reaching the quarterfinals of the World Cup and the semifinals of the European Championship. Our aim, by organizing this event in our country, is to achieve the best possible result,” Demneri stated.

He also emphasized that preparations for the tournament began months ago and are continuing intensively. “We have been working on the organization, the construction of the stadium, and the creation of a Fan Zone for about six months. I believe this will be a major innovation for Albania,” he said.

A total of 28 teams will participate in this European Championship, divided into 7 groups of 4 teams each. All matches will be held at the “House of Football,” where a 2,500-seat stadium will be built to host games from morning until evening.

The tournament will feature 28 countries, including major European football nations such as England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal—countries with a strong tradition in minifootball.

Demneri further underlined the importance of this event for the country. “For five days, Albania will become the epicenter of minifootball in Europe. Considering the strong competition from countries like England, Germany, and Italy to host this tournament, the fact that it was entrusted to Albania is a great appreciation for us,” he added.

Speaking about the organization, Demneri announced that the draw for the European Minifootball Championship will take place on Wednesday at the “House of Football,” in an event where the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, will also be present.

“On Wednesday, the draw for the European Minifootball Championship will be held, again at the ‘House of Football.’ Great importance has been given to this event by the President of the Albanian Football Association, Mr. Armand Duka, who will be present. We invite all media outlets to support us and attend this event to promote it as effectively as possible,” Demneri concluded.
