Albania U-16 played its second friendly match against Hungary today at the “House of Football”. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
The goals for the red and black team were scored by Elson Himallari and Arbër Lleshi.
Coach Andrea Tedesco started the match with the following lineup: Simon Lleshi (GK), Elton Dodaj, Frensi Mali, Petro Marku, Emiljano Malko, Afrim Gashi (C), Kledi Qosja, Eris Kurtulaj, Etrit Gjuzi, Elson Himallari, and Ermal Ymeri.
The Albanian team started the match better and, after a few chances, took the lead in the 30th minute with a goal by Himallari. The score remained unchanged until the end of the first half.
In the second half, Hungary made several substitutions, while coach Tedesco brought on Zekaj, Lataj, Matraku, Lleshi, Ruci, Halili, and Vata during the game.
Hungary equalized in the 72nd minute with a goal from Tamas Somogyi. However, Albania responded quickly and regained the lead in the 80th minute with a beautiful goal from Arbër Lleshi, who controlled the ball, dribbled past a defender, and scored in front of the goalkeeper.
The lead lasted only five minutes, as Hungary equalized again through Vincent Gorog. The match ended with a 2-2 draw.
These two friendly matches against Hungary provided a valuable opportunity for the coaching staff to observe the assembled players.
