The season’s analysis from President Duka: “Abissnet Superiore”, the great rivalry for “Final 4” & survival. Investments in infrastructure continue

The President of the AFA, Armand Duka, in a statement to the media, analyzed the final phase of the “Abissnet Superiore” championship, praising the strong competition that is taking place, both in terms of participation in the “Final 4” and the battle for survival.

The head of football governance also spoke about the importance of investments in infrastructure and the great need for the increase of football fields, especially regarding training fields. He also emphasized the importance of new projects for the reconstruction of four new stadiums and the implementation of the AFA’s project “100 Fields”.

Analysis of “Abissnet Superiore” – “Every championship in its final stage becomes truly exciting and interesting because the decisions that determine the outcome of an entire year are made, so there is really more competition, more commitment, especially from teams that aspire for more from this championship.

I cannot predict anything, the most predictable thing of all is that almost the four teams that will participate in the “Final 4” at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium are already determined, possibly with some discussion between Partizani and Elbasani, while Vllaznia, Egnatia, and Dinamo have almost secured their spots.

Unfortunately, by the end of the championship, not everyone will be happy with the results, but we must be happy with the game and the contribution they have made throughout the year.

All competitions have their specific emotions, emotions to be part of the “Final 4”, emotions to be champions, or their own emotions to secure survival. The toughest battle at the moment seems to be at the bottom of the table, where the ranking is very tight from 6th place to 10th place, with small differences”.

Investments in infrastructure – “Investments are one of the main pillars for the development of football, and for this, we have focused a lot on ensuring this changes positively. The joint investments made for football in Albania are indeed many, but even more are needed. The projects we have and continue to implement are numerous, because the “100 fields” project is ongoing, as our main issue is the training fields, not the playing fields.

In a way, the infrastructure for the development of activities, especially the “Abissnet Superiore” Championship, is at satisfactory levels. Several stadiums have been built in Albania, three new stadiums are in the project phase for reconstruction, and a fourth project has been added with the “Selman Stërmasi” stadium, which I believe will elevate the level of stadiums and sports infrastructure for the played football to a higher and more acceptable standard.

These are projects that will continue, we can never say that they are enough, because the more the number of football players and the interest in football increases, the more suitable environments are needed to have activities with a better level of organization and better conditions for the spectators. It remains a challenge for the clubs, but also for the AFA, to ensure that these newly reconstructed stadiums are filled, with people who are capable of supporting football.”
