The Regional Football Association of Elbasan (SHRFE) held its General Assembly today, a key moment for the development of football in the region. The meeting was attended by 20 association members, represented by 24 delegates, who discussed and approved the main agenda issues.
The focus of today’s annual General Assembly of the SHRF Elbasan was: the association’s activity report, approval of financial statements and the 2025 budget, election of delegates for the AFA General Assembly, admission of new full-right members, and approval of the new SHRFE emblem.
The General Assembly of the Regional Football Association of Elbasan was also attended by AFA Executive Committee member Abdyl Kuriu, who, in his welcoming speech, emphasized that the football governing body will continue to support all footballers in the region through various projects.
“On behalf of the AFA, I assure you that we will always stand by your side to advance football through various projects, from “Your Ball” to the “My Uniform” initiative, which enable hundreds of children to join football every year in our country. The Regional Association must continue its commitment to securing local sponsors and work constructively to build a bright future for Albanian football. Thanks to continuous dedication and effort, Elbasan is the city with the strongest presence of passionate football fans, demonstrating unwavering love and support for this sport,” -said AFA Executive Committee member Abdyl Kuriu.
The President of SHRFE, Ilirjan File, thanked the members for their commitment throughout 2024, emphasizing that this year saw the registration of 1,652 footballers and 109 teams, including 16 girls’ teams.
During the proceedings, the delegates voted and confirmed the SHRFE representatives to the AFA General Assembly: Ilirjan File, Marenglen Çoku, and Andi Bibo. Additionally, the members voted in favor of approving the new emblem of SHRF Elbasan.
Two new full-right members were also added to the Regional Football Association of Elbasan: A & S Sports and Kalami Sport.
