The President of the Albanian Football Association (AFA), Armand Duka, attended the festive ceremony “100 Years of Bulgarian Football.” The gala evening, held last night in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, brought together many prominent football figures from Europe and around the world.
President Duka expressed his warmest congratulations to the Bulgarian Football Association on this historic anniversary. Additionally, through a social media post, the head of the Albanian football association praised Bulgaria’s outstanding contribution to European and global football, emphasizing the shared values between the two associations in the development of the sport.
“🎉 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Football Association! ⚽
It was a pleasure to be part of the ‘100 Years of Bulgarian Football’ gala evening. With the Bulgarians, we share a long history, dating back to October 1946 when we played our first match. We have witnessed Bulgaria’s great success 30 years ago, when they finished fourth in the ‘USA 1994’ World Cup, and we have enjoyed the class of many great players produced over the years. Through football, we have shared common values over the years and continue to work to inspire young generations with the big dream of becoming footballers. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, I would like to send my best wishes to the President of the Bulgarian Football Association, Georgi Ivanov, and all the members of the association,” wrote President Duka.
