The Ordinary General Assembly of the Korçë Regional Football Association held its proceedings today, during which important decisions were made regarding the football activities organized by the association.
Present at the meeting were all eight members of the association, represented by 12 delegates, who discussed the items set out on the agenda. These included the association’s activity report, approval of the financial statements, approval of the budget for 2026, the election of delegates who will represent the Korçë Regional Football Association at the General Assembly of the Albanian Football Association, as well as the proposal of candidacies for President and members of the AFA Executive Committee.
The President of the Korçë Regional Football Association, Mr. Ilirjan Përmeti, presented a detailed overview of the work carried out over the past year, highlighting the significant increase in the number of teams and footballers, the continuous development of championships for all age groups, the organization of activities and regional tournaments, as well as the implementation of AFA projects such as “Playmaker.” He emphasized the importance of coach education, support for women’s football and regional representative teams, and identified as key objectives for the next four-year period increasing children’s participation in football and improving sports infrastructure in cooperation with the AFA and local authorities.
Through a vote by the Assembly members, the association’s activity report, financial statements, and the budget for 2026 were approved, as well as the delegates who will represent the Korçë Regional Football Association at the AFA General Assembly. The delegates selected by the membership vote are Mr. Ilirjan Përmeti and Mr. Roland Shkëlqimi.
The General Assembly of the Korçë Regional Football Association unanimously decided to propose Mr. Armand Duka as a candidate for President of the Albanian Football Association, while lawyer and current member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Envi Hicka, an expert well known in the legal field, was proposed as a candidate for membership in the AFA Executive Committee.
