The investment of the Football Association, within the framework of social responsibility, was inaugurated at the “Shën Prenda” Parish in Juban, Shkodër. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, the President of KF Vllaznia, Alban Xhaferri, the Chairman of SHRF Shkodër, Lazër Matija, the priest of the “Shën Prenda” church, Dom Mikel Pllumaj, as well as representatives of football in Shkodër, media representatives, and children from the community.
President Duka was closely familiarized with the synthetic turf field investment at the “Shën Prenda” Parish, and also delivered a speech where he thanked the attendees for their interest and great commitment to improving the conditions and living standards in the Juban area. He emphasized the importance of football for the education and health of children, adding that the initiative to build the field was significant and inspired by the common goal of educating children.
The President also mentioned the historic role of Juban and Shkodër in the birth of football in Albania, describing this as an important step for the community and the sport, especially for girls.
“First of all, I want to thank you for the great interest you have in improving the conditions, improving the living standards of the area, and at the same time for the care you take to combine the education and wellbeing of the area with sport. It is true that football has a magical power, here our synergies come together, the church and football, to achieve the common goal we have, to educate children as best as possible, to make them healthier and more useful for society and family. I thank you very much for the investment we have made together, for the football field, which will serve not only the children of the Parish and the school but also the children of the entire area.
In this area, in Shkodër, and precisely from a priest, football was born in Albania. This is not the first time we come to Juban, as we were here for the inauguration of another project, and we are here today. In no case will we say no, but we will be cooperative for the good of the community, for the good of the children, and even more so for the girls. I thank you for organizing this ceremony,”- said President Duka.
The priest of the “Shën Prenda” Parish, Dom Mikel Pllumaj, in his speech, praised the cooperation with the Association for the construction of this field and thanked President Duka for his contribution. “We thank you, this is a tradition. It is not the first contribution you have made for Juban. We will ask for your support again. It is a pleasure to cooperate with you, and I thank you. You are always welcome.”
With the construction of this field, a new sports space has been created in Juban for the residents of the area, which is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the sports and social life of the community.
