This Monday, the Ordinary General Assembly of the Korçë Regional Football Association was held, where important decisions were made regarding the football activities organized by the association.
Present at this meeting were 8 members of the association, represented by 13 delegates, who discussed the agenda items, that had to do with the activity report of the asscociation, the approval of financial statements, the approval of the 2025 budget, the election of delegates to represent SHRF Korçë in the General Assembly of the AFA, as well as the modification of the SHRF Korçë emblem.
During the proceedings of the General Assembly of the Regional Football Association of Korçë, Ylli Çekiçi, a member of the Executive Committee of the AFA, was also present. He praised the work done by SHRF Korçë and emphasized that the AFA will continue to be the main support, providing concrete projects to further develop football in this region.
“Our priority remains investing in youth, developing grassroots football, and empowering women’s football through projects like “UEFA Playmakers” and the “100 Fields” initiative to improve sports infrastructure. Our long term goals include creating a regional center for this area, using every challenge as an opportunity to open new paths for development. This requires close cooperation with local government to secure projects and concrete support for the football community. Municipalities can provide opportunities for investment in sports, and it is important that we work together to maximize the benefits for football in this region,”- said Ylli Çekiçi in his speech.
After the verification of mandates, the Chairman of SHRFK, Ilirjan Përmeti, delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the achievements of SHRFK during the year 2024, as well as discussing the issues that still need to be addressed. The goals of SHRFK for the future include increasing the number of children involved in football and improving sports infrastructure.
Following the vote in the Assembly, the financial statements and budget for the year 2025 were approved, along with the delegates who will represent the Regional Football Association of Korça in the General Assembly of the AFA. The delegates selected by the membership votes are Ilirjan Përmeti and Mr. Stavrion Lako.
The Association also proposed a change to its emblem. The new emblem will be used not only in the activities of the Regional Football Association of Korça and in sporting materials in this district but also in official documents, institutional communications, official social media pages, and events organized by the association.
