The Refereeing Academy concluded its fifth edition with a ceremony in which 50 new referees graduated, including 4 women.
The ceremony, held at the “House of Football,” saw diplomas awarded to the 50 participants. Among those present were the President of the Albanian Football Referees Association (BASHF), Tahir Kastrati; the General Secretary of BASHF, Klajdi Kola; and the Head of the Refereeing Department at the Albanian Football Association, Sokol Jareci.
This edition of the Refereeing Academy began in March and was organized in two phases, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of football refereeing. During the first phase, the referees became familiar with the rules of the game and applied them during matches in youth championships, gaining practical experience.
In the second phase, the referees had the opportunity to participate in video analyses and received information on match administration and the management of complex situations during the 90 minutes of a game.
The 50 graduated referees have been awarded Category III Referee status, marking an important step in their careers and preparing them to officiate more advanced matches.
After completing the course, the referees will be integrated into the relevant officiating panels, where they will continue their activity in national and regional matches.
