The Technical Directorate of the Albanian Football Association organized a special event as part of the “Academy Technical Director” course, held at the “House of Football.”
The event featured a special guest, Michele Sbravati, Director of the Juventus Academy, who shared with participants the Italian club’s experience in youth football development, the structure of its academy, and the philosophy followed by one of Europe’s most renowned clubs in working with young players.
This seminar was organized as part of FSHF’s strategy to raise technical management standards in Albanian academies and to promote the exchange of modern experiences with prestigious international clubs.
In an interview for fshf.org, Sbravati expressed his honor at being part of the event and praised the hospitality of the Albanian Football Association.“Greetings to everyone, and thank you for the invitation. Many thanks to President Duka and to Fulvio Pea for inviting me. For me personally, but above all as a representative of Juventus, it’s an honor to be here to discuss and talk about football in a calm and constructive way. I believe that with your coaches and managers we can have a very valuable exchange, so thank you for the invitation and for the hospitality, because honestly, I did not expect it,” said Sbravati at the beginning.
He went on to commend the development of FSHF and Albanian football, and spoke about the topics discussed with the participants and guests of the “Academy Technical Director” course.
“I believe that the Albanian Football Association is in a major phase of development, as the results clearly show. I also think these meetings are a valuable opportunity for updates—not only for those who create and organize them, but also for participants like us—because exchanging experiences and staying up to date are two fundamental elements for the growth of every manager and coach.
Today’s topics are particularly related to youth football. We’re talking about the basic principles of management and relationships, and about the methodological guidelines used across the structures of a club like Juventus and other Italian football clubs.
Today we’ll talk about our structure, our principles, our methodology, but above all about the club’s and organization’s DNA that we strive to pass on to coaches and young players. Everything starts with a philosophy and clear objectives. If we believe in a philosophy, we must have faith in it and transmit it in the best possible way to the coaches and instructors, who then pass it on to the players.
It’s a chain, where every link is essential in the structure and in the process of developing young footballers—with one clear goal: to give them the opportunity to fulfill their dream, to turn sport, especially football, into their profession. Thank you,” concluded Michele Sbravati, Director of the Juventus Academy.
Participants in the seminar had the opportunity to exchange ideas and gain direct insight into the methodology and work philosophy that Juventus follows in developing young footballers—an experience that will be valuable for the continued advancement of Albanian football academies.
