The Albanian Football Association inspects the construction works at the Vora Stadium: a modern grandstand and international standards.

Work is progressing rapidly at the Vora Stadium on the construction of the new central stand, a major investment by the Albanian Football Association, carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Vora. Alongside the grandstand, additional improvements are being made to the stadium’s infrastructure, including the construction of changing rooms for players, facilities for technical staff, and other functional spaces necessary to ensure that the venue meets modern licensing and operational standards.

Everything is moving in the right direction, and today AFA Vice President Arben Dervishaj and Director of the Projects Department at the AFA, Kevin Lleshi, conducted an inspection visit to the Vora Stadium, where they reviewed the progress and spoke to fshf.org about this important investment for both the club and the city of Vora.

AFA Vice President Arben Dervishaj stated that work is advancing swiftly to complete the new stand, which is expected to be finished within the year — turning the venue into a UEFA Category 3 stadium where Vora will once again play its home matches.

“We came today to inspect the work on the Vora Stadium stand. Construction is ongoing in all areas so that in a very short time the stand will be completed and Vora can return to play at its home ground. This stadium, which we are investing in together with the Municipality, will become a Category 3 stadium — able to host international matches up to a certain stage, as outlined in UEFA’s manual. Work is progressing quickly, and I believe that within this year, the Vora team will return to its home,” said AFA Vice President Arben Dervishaj.

The Director of the Projects Department at AFA, Kevin Lleshi, emphasized that this is one of AFA’s key investments, designed to meet UEFA and FIFA standards. He also mentioned other ongoing infrastructure projects in Durrës, Prrenjas, Gjirokastër, Elbasan, and Tirana, all aimed at the continuous improvement of sports infrastructure across the country.

“This is a very important investment by the Albanian Football Association in cooperation with the Municipality, which will bring a modern stadium to Albania, meeting UEFA and FIFA standards. AFA’s work doesn’t stop here, other infrastructure projects are continuing in several cities across the country. Two new pitches are being built in Durrës, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Teuta club. Likewise, two pitches are being built in Prrenjas and two in Gjirokastër, all in their final stages, awaiting the installation of artificial turf. At the same time, in the coming days, work will also begin on the planting of the third pitch at the ‘House of Football,’ adding another field in Tirana that will be used by the senior and youth national teams,” said Kevin Lleshi, Director of the Projects Department at AFA.
