The ninth edition of the UEFA PRO coaching licensing course, which is also the highest level for a football coach, has successfully concluded.
This UEFA course, organized and led by the Education Sector of the Albanian Football Association, lasted approximately 12 months. Today, 21 prominent football figures, not only from Albania but also from Kosovo and Argentina, received their UEFA PRO diplomas in a ceremony organized by the AFA at the “House of Football.”
The President of the AFA, Armand Duka, was also present at the ceremony and wished the newly graduated coaches great success in the future, hoping they would help improve albanian football.
President Duka emphasized that the door of the AFA is always open for cooperation and for the improvement of the most popular sport in Albania.
“I thank you for your work during this year’s UEFA PRO course. I am very confident that you all consider this course as you should, not just as a course to obtain a license, but as an opportunity to develop your knowledge. I firmly believe that knowledge is not developed simply by listening to lecturers but by exchanging experiences because all of you are professional coaches, with experiences to share with each other and with the lecturers.
Training is one of the fundamental pillars, and for this reason, we in our strategy have focused on improving it as much as possible to help football. At the AFA, we run all levels of courses, from C to UEFA PRO, both in quantity and in quality, and i want to thank Director Pea, Director of the School, Sulejman Starova, Alban Tafaj, and all those who work here. The AFA courses are of high quality. Now, we expect that what you have exchanged in the courses will be implemented on the field to help football.
You are now at the highest level, at the level of the lecturer. Not only have you obtained your diplomas, but you have also contributed greatly through your experience and involvement in playing football and coaching. The door of the AFA will always be open for cooperation and the improvement of football,” said President Duka in his welcoming speech.
In the 9th edition of the “UEFA PRO” course, the participants had the opportunity to attend lectures with guest speakers, including major names in football such as the national team coach Sylvinho, former world champion with Italy Fabio Cannavaro, coach Marco Giampaolo, Francesco Troise, and others.
Some of the most well-known football figures who received their UEFA PRO diplomas today include: Pablo Javier Girod Zabaleta, Armend Dallku, Ledian Memushaj, Edmond Kapllani, Erbim Fagu, Gilman Lika, Emiljano Çela, Tefik Osmani, Albina Rrahmani, Tahir Batatina, and others.
