The UEFA A coaching license course, organized by the Albanian Football Association in cooperation with UEFA, successfully concluded its 23rd edition. The training program began in January and ran for six months, providing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge to the participating coaches.
At the closing ceremony, licenses were awarded to 25 new coaches, including two female coaches, who are now qualified to work at the highest levels of football. The ceremony was attended by Technical Director Abdyl Kuriu, National Teams Committee member Afrim Tola, as well as Education Director Ardi Behari and the sector’s instructors.
This edition brought together a diverse group of Albanian football professionals, including former national team players such as Taulant Xhaka, Klaus Gjasula, and Jurgen Gjasula, as well as well-known former players from the Albanian league such as Olsi Teqja, Oerd Kotja, Rejnaldo Troplini, Rigers Dushku, and others.
The UEFA A license represents one of the most important levels in UEFA’s coaching education system. It is required for first-team coaches in certain club categories, as well as for coaches of U-21, U-19, and other age-group teams in professional football. It is also part of the pathway toward the highest coaching qualifications in the profession.
