Albania’s Champion, Skanderbeg of Korca has known it’s future opponents in it’s participation in the UEFA Champions League. Today, in Nion, Switzerland, was held the lottery for the first and the second round of the most important activity in football clubs level in the continent. After the drawing of lots for the first round, it was casted the lot for the second round, where direct participator is also the Albanian champion. The opponent of Korca in the second round will be the winner of the couple Crusaders FC – FC Levadia Tallinn. The first is the champion of Northern Ireland, while the second is the champion of Estonia.
Seeing the modest names of opponents, as well as recognizing the strength and experience of 5 times successively champions of Albania, Skanderbeg has all opportunities to qualify and to play in the next round of the UEFA Europa League. The first match will take place on July 14th-15th in Korca, while the return match on July 21st or 22nd abroad. It was also decided that the finals of this competition will be held at the stadium “San Siro” in Milan.
