The next edition of the “Open Stage” selections for young Albanian footballers living and playing in various countries around the world has completed its journey. Over the course of 4 days, hundreds of aspiring young players were welcomed to the “House of Football” with hopes of joining the national teams in the future. Fulvio Pea, the Technical Director of the Albanian Football Association, provided a statement regarding the smooth execution of the process and expressed great satisfaction with this year’s intake.
“The second edition went very well, even better than last year. We had 550 participants, and this gave many young Albanians living far from their homeland the chance to wear the national team jersey for the first time and experience an unforgettable time in such a beautiful sports center. The federation has invested a lot and continues to invest in its future. These young people are proof of that,” said Pea initially, and then shared more details regarding the selections that had taken place.

“550 boys participated, spread over 4 days. We are satisfied with what we have seen, both in terms of their commitment and professionalism. Some of them come from Italy, Germany, Belgium, so we are proud to have had so many registrations. Our scouting department was present, led by Ardi Behari, who worked with great attention to detail in organizing and collaborating with our coaches to gather the best information and identify the most talented players of these days,” added the Technical Director of AFA.
“This selection was organized to find talented players who could become part of our national teams, and we are very happy that this Open Stage, which has taken a lot of energy and commitment from us, may have gifted us with a player who could join our teams, as that would be another asset to the work we do every day,” concluded Pea.
