As part of International Women’s Day, a regional tournament was held at the House of Football in Tirana, featuring U-14 girls’ teams. The event became a true celebration of football, highlighting the role, energy, and talent of girls in sport.
The tournament brought together around 120 young footballers from regions across the country, accompanied by their teams’ coaching staff, creating a positive atmosphere full of sporting enthusiasm and showcasing their passion for the game. Teams from the regions of Tirana, Shkodër, Durrës, Elbasan, Fier, Korçë, and Gjirokastër competed against each other in a series of dynamic and exciting matches.
The event was closely followed by the technical staff of the Association, with Daniela Kodra, Cyme Lulaj, and Rabie Tota carefully observing all matches, focusing on identifying new talents and tracking their development within projects aimed at promoting girls’ football.
At the conclusion of the tournament, all participating girls were awarded certificates of appreciation, recognizing their commitment, passion, and energy brought to the event.
Through initiatives like this, the Albanian Football Association continues to encourage girls’ participation in sports and promote the development of women’s football across the country, creating more opportunities for younger generations.
