The Regional Football Association of Tirana today held its Electoral General Assembly, attended by 45 member clubs of the association, represented by 77 delegates.
At the Assembly, held at the “House of Football” in Tirana, not only was the activity report for 2025 reviewed, but the delegates also approved the financial statements and the 2026 budget, while being informed about the achievements and challenges of the association throughout 2025.
One of the most important items on the agenda was the election of the President of the Tirana Regional Football Association (SHRF Tirana) for the next four-year term.
The Verification Commission, the body responsible for organizing the electoral process, announced that only one candidacy for President had been submitted—specifically, the request for re-nomination by Mr. Krenar Alimehmeti, proposed by 11 member clubs of the association.
The Electoral General Assembly of the Regional Football Association of Tirana, with full unanimity, decided to elect Mr. Krenar Alimehmeti as President of SHRF Tirana for a four-year mandate.
Following his re-election at the head of SHRF Tirana, Krenar Alimehmeti thanked the members for the trust placed in him, emphasizing that SHRF Tirana will always support the development of amateur football in the Tirana area.
“Thank you very much for the support and trust you have given me. I believe this shows that we have all done good work together—you and us. While thanking you, I would also like to thank the staff, who have been very dedicated over these years. I hope that new formulas and methods will be found to improve quality, beyond increasing participation. We should not remain at these levels, as the potential is greater. We will always support you, and our cooperation with you has been and will continue to grow stronger. Thank you very much, and I hope for the best,” said Krenar Alimehmeti.
The agenda also included proposals for candidates for President of the Albanian Football Association and for members of the Executive Committee. The members of the association proposed Mr. Armand Duka as a candidate for President of the FSHF, who was unanimously approved by all members during the Assembly proceedings. Meanwhile, as a candidate for member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association, the members of SHRF Tirana voted for Mr. Lutfi Nuriu.
The delegates who will represent SHRF Tirana at the General Assembly of the AFA were also elected: the President of SHRF Tirana, Krenar Alimehmeti, along with Artan Vangjeli, Gelda Lilo, Arjan Pisha, Oltion Sula, and Sonila Çekrezi.
Additionally, the Regional Football Association of Tirana welcomed ten new full members: SG Tirana Football Academy, Holle, Peza Sport Football Academy, Pro Talents Tirana, FC Autokton, TR 19 Football Academy, AF Kampionët, Kamza Sport, Dinamo 14, and Kamza Juniors.
