The Regional Football Association of Shkodër held today its 2026 Electoral General Assembly, attended by 19 member clubs of the association, represented by 27 delegates.
The main item on the agenda was the election of the President of the Shkodër Regional Football Association (SHRF) for the next four-year term.
The Verification Commission, the body responsible for organizing the electoral process, announced that only one candidacy had been submitted: the re-nomination request of Lazer Matija, proposed by 17 member clubs of the association.
The Electoral General Assembly, with full unanimity, decided to re-elect Mr. Lazer Matija as President of SHRF Shkodër for a four-year mandate.
In his speech following the re-election, Lazer Matija thanked everyone for their trust and support, emphasizing that the main objectives remain the development of football, support for clubs, strengthening of structures, and the creation of the best possible opportunities for young talents.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the trust and support you have shown me by re-electing me as President of the Regional Football Association of Shkodër. This new mandate represents a great responsibility, but also a valuable opportunity to continue our work toward the progress and strengthening of regional football.
I am fully aware of the weight of this position, and my commitment will be unwavering—to work with transparency, professionalism, and in close cooperation with all clubs, academies, and members of the association. I firmly believe that together we will face every challenge and achieve our objectives.
Our priorities will remain the development of football, support for clubs, strengthening of our structures, and creating new opportunities for young talents who represent the future of sport in our region,” said Lazer Matija.
During the Assembly proceedings, the association’s activity report, financial statements, and the 2026 budget were approved. The delegates who will represent SHRF Shkodër at the General Assembly of the Albanian Football Association were also elected: President Lazer Matija and Alfred Pjetri.
The members of the association proposed Mr. Armand Duka as a candidate for President of the AFA, who was unanimously approved, while the well-known journalist and author and host of the program “Opinion,” Blendi Fevziu, was elected as a member of the AFA Executive Committee.
