Press Release, December 02nd, 2014

Albanian Football Federation became aware on Tuesday evening about the decision of Appeals Committee, to which hoped to find more justice in relation to the decision of the Ethics and Discipline Committee for the match Serbia – Albania, held in Belgrade on October 14th, 2014 and interrupted in 41’ minutes of the match. This decision of the Committee upheld all the decisions of the Ethics and Discipline Committee of UEFA about this unfinished meeting.
Despite the legal arguments and facts documented with photos and videos, as well as professional defence of Lawyer Antonio Rigozzi and Law Firms, booked by AFF, again nothing changed. Despite the same political attitude of Appeals Committee, AFF is disappointed for not taking into account the certified facts of violations to Albanian players, of the invasion of the field by fans and incriminated persons, of racist calls “kill Albanians”, of throwing in the field solid objects and fireworks and many elements of insecurity.
However, during cross-examination, many new facts and contradictory statements have come out from the match officials declared for this match, which further convince us that Albania will find justice in other instances.
Albanian Football Federation, unpleased with this decision, informs the public and the media, that it will continue to seek justice at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, even more convinced that three points of victory of this match belong to it. AFF will continue its legal battle, clear in its position, that this is the only way for football to win, a clean game, without violence and without racism.
