As part of his visit to the Presheva Valley and in support of the children’s football tournament taking place in the area, the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, held an official meeting with the Mayor of Presheva Municipality, Ms. Ardita Sinani.
Accompanied by AFA Executive Committee member Ms. Anila Basha and the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Serbia, Mr. Bardhyl Canaj, President Duka was welcomed in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, where discussions focused on possibilities to strengthen cooperation for the development of football in this municipality.
The meeting concentrated on projects aimed at improving sports infrastructure, involving children and youth, both girls and boys, in organized activities, and further institutional collaboration at all levels.
Mayor Sinani appreciated AFA’s support in organizing the children’s football tournament, which over five consecutive days has involved more than 300 children from Presheva, Bujanoc, and the Albanian diaspora in the U-7, U-9, U-11, and U-13 age groups.
President Duka emphasized that this tournament is just the beginning of AFA’s sustained commitment to Presheva and that concrete steps will be taken to support the development of football in this area with great sporting potential.
