Gratitude, emotions, pride, and great support. This was the consideration of the President of ‘’Albanian Children’’ Foundation, Dr. Liri Berisha, for the support of the Albanian Football Association, during her visit in the premises of the Association , in the presence of the President of AFA, Armand Duka and General Secretary, Ilir Shulku.
Mrs. Berisha conveyed to President Duka the deepest gratitude for this cooperation, on behalf of the parents of the children and the entire Foundation. A few weeks ago the national football team, together with Coach Christian Panucci, visited the children during an activity that raised social awareness for this category.
Dr. Liri Berisha awarded the title ‘’Honorary Ambassador’’ of the ‘’Albanian Children’’ Foundation to President of AFA, Armand Duka, as a sign of gratitude for the continues support for the autistic children, which experienced hope, joy and emotions during the visit of the national team.
As President of this Foundation, Mrs. Berisha stressed that ‘the presence of the national team in the premises of the Center was a signal of hope, where strong messages were conveyed by the players for raising awareness among the society, recalling that such a disorder is not only a continues pain for the parents of these children, but a pain for the entire society. That day was of great support, for the children and for their parents, and for that we are grateful’’.
On his side, President Duka guaranteed Mrs. Berisha that AFA will continue to attend such awareness calls from the society, the autistic children and not only: ‘’ AFA has always supported such initiatives in order to give a message through football. We will continue to work together and raise this message even higher and be closer with the children. The support of AFA for the Foundation will always be present, planning an investment for a football court near these children, and bring football closer to them.
We will do our best for a better cooperation, in order to bring joy to the children and their parents, and for raising public awareness, with everything within our potential’’- underlined President Duka. The end was dedicated for gifts. A jersey of the national team with the name of the foundation, and the Album of the European for the head of the Foundation, Dr. Liri Berisha, and a special made gift by the children for the President of AFA, Armand Duka.
