The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, congratulated the former coach of the national team, Gianni De Biasi, who has signed a new coaching contract in Azerbaijan. The Italian coach will be the new head of the Azerbaijani team. President Duka extended his congratulations to De Biasi for the new adventure, while assuring that he will always have a special place in the history of the Albanian football.
‘’I was thrilled when I heard the news that Gianni De Biasi will start an adventure as the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team. I would like to wish the best to the former coach of the Albanian national team, with whom we have lived extraordinary emotions and achieved the biggest success of the national team in international competitions.
It is great that De Biasi has been a key part of that historic journey that culminated with the participation of the national team in the finals of EURO 2016. Even though three years have passed since our ways parted, I assure him that he will always have a special place in the history of AFA and the national team.
