Performances of the foreign-based players / Uzuni scores two goals. Mitaj, Hoxha & Daku provide assists

The Albanian foreign-based players are having a great run, and even during the past week, many of them were decisive for their teams on the field.

Myrto Uzuni scored two goals and set a historic record as he starred in Granada’s 3-0 victory over Racing Santander. The Albanian forward became the top foreign scorer in the history of Granada, and this season he has scored 11 goals in the league.

Decisive this weekend for their clubs were also Mario Mitaj, Arbër Hoxha, and Mirlind Daku.

In Saudi Arabia, Mario Mitaj provided the decisive assist in Al Ittihad’s victory over Al Nassr. The Albanian footballer made a precise pass to Bergwijn at the end of the match, and the Dutchman scored the second goal. The match ended 2-1 in favor of Al Ittihad.

Arbër Hoxha started as a starter in the match between Dinamo Zagreb and Slaven Belupo. In the 23rd minute, he made an accurate assist to Kacavend, who opened the scoring. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Mirlind Daku provided an assist in Rubin Kazan’s 3-2 away win against Dynamo Makhachkala. The Albanian forward made a precise pass to his teammate in the 43rd minute of the first half.

Another fantastic piece of news was the return to action of two Albanian national team players, Armando Broja and Medon Berisha. Both players have overcome their injuries and played a few minutes for their teams.

Stiven Shpendi also found the net this weekend. The forward, who plays for Carrarese in Italy’s Serie B, scored the decisive goal in their match against Palermo in the 77th minute. The match ended 1-0 in favor of Carrarese.
