The Department of Football at the Albanian Football Association has conducted its first meeting for this year with the coaches of the national regional teams and the representatives of the Regional Office. The technical director, Dzemal Musedanagic, accompanied by the specialists of the Sector of National Teams, explained in details the new strategy and at the same time analyzed all the latest developments for the tests conducted across Albania.
‘’ We should work with seriousness and close cooperation with each other. All the coaches got acquainted with the new strategy that we are implementing and I am satisfied from this selection phase that we held with the Regional Office. The coaches of the clubs, we and the regional staff should work on one line. When we are at the right track they are also the same. Albania has talents and we aim to train these elements in Albania, discover talented players, train them and open their path towards the A team.
We aim to increase the number of players from the Albanian teams at the national team. Age should not be an issue, we should select even young players- declared Mustedanagic, and then gave an important advice – we should not lose talents, through good and continues work we should follow them every day, every month and every year, for all their growing phases. We will check 5 times more that we have done until today’’.
At the end, Mustedanagic advised the staffs to communicate with coaches of these players for their deficiencies and work with them individually. ‘’ There are problems with basic techniques, we should advise the coaches to start with the 8 year olds. Without the basis there is not technical-tactic training. We should spot out the defects of a player and advise the coaches on how they should work with them individual in order to improve’’.
Present in this meeting was the General Secretary of AFA, Ilir Shulku, who requested maximal commitment from all the staffs of Regional Offices and the coaches of national regional teams.
‘’ I thank you for your presence. Congratulations for the great work and I have to say that we as an institution fully support this strategy of director Mustedanagic. Maximal commitment is needed and everything can be achieved through hard work. We should work more in order to create continues contact with the coaches and not underestimate any element of perspective. The new players through the regional national teams can be catapulted towards the National Team A.
