It was held today in the premises of the Albanian Football Association, the ceremony for the Golden Boot in women’s football for the season 2019-2020. Megi Doçi was praised for the 88 goals scored for the team of Vllaznia. The General Secretary of AFA, Ilir Shulku underlined that women’s football has been an important priority for the Association and more investments are being made to achieve even higher levels.
Thrilled as she can be, the forward of Vllaznia and the national team, thanked AFA and President Duka for the dedication towards women’s football. ‘’I feel happy and thrilled for the fact that I have worked a lot individually and with the team. I want to thank my teammates and the technical staff of Vllaznia, for the support they have given me. The team makes a great effort so I could score. Champions League approaching? The team is under construction because the management is seeking new players to strengthen the team. The team will gather in Shkodra for a preparatory phase. We will wait for the draw. I have high expectations for the future, since I have won everything in Albania, cups, championships, Golden Ball and the Golden Boot. I will work more to achieve these successes again but I don’t have something concrete in my mind except work’’ – declared Doçi.
