The Open Stage organized by the Football Association for the selection of young Albanian footballers from the diaspora held its final session today at the ” House of Football” under the supervision of the national team coaches, the staff of the Technical Directorate, and the scouting manager of AFA, Ardi Behari.
In this final session, footballers born in 2010/2011 participated, undergoing physical tests and playing a friendly match.
The young players participated in 4 matches, followed by 2 final games between the selected players from each age group and teams from the “Elite Youth Development Academy.” This test also provided the players from the “Elite Youth Development Academy” an opportunity to assess their level and compare their abilities with their peers from abroad who came to participate in this important event.
This initiative by the Football Association aims to bring together young Albanians living and playing in clubs abroad, giving them the opportunity to showcase their potential. It also helps the national teams’ technical staff evaluate talented footballers for potential inclusion in the Albanian national team in the future.
