Today, the latest investment by the Albanian Football Association in the annex of the “Skënderbeu” stadium in Korçë was inaugurated, a project aimed at creating better conditions for the training of young football players.
The event, which took place before the Skënderbeu U15 – Shënkolli U15 match, was attended by the Vice President of AFA, Arben Dervishaj, former Skënderbeu and National Team footballer, Jani Kaçi, and the Chairman of SHRF Korçë, Ilirjan Përmeti.
In his welcoming speech, the Vice President of AFA, Arben Dervishaj, said that AFA’s goal is to increase the number of sports fields so that young players can train in the best possible conditions.
“The goal of the Football Association is to increase the number of fields where young people can train. Without good fields, we cannot demand quality. We will continue to work with the Government and Municipalities to increase the number of fields. The Football Association’s goal is to double or triple the number of training fields where our children can play by 2030,” said the Vice President of AFA, Arben Dervishaj.
Former Skënderbeu and National Team footballer, Jani Kaçi, praised the Football Association for creating modern sports facilities.
“Today, these young men are honored and respected. They should be grateful to the Football Association for investing in creating modern sports environments. I thank the AFA,” said Jani Kaçi.
This facility in the annex of the “Skënderbeu” stadium will serve as an important space for local football clubs and academies, offering players better conditions for training.
