At a magnificent ceremony held at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet by the Albanian Football Association, Berat Gjimshiti was honored with the prestigious award “National Team Player of the Year.”
The special award was handed over by the head coach of the Albanian National Team, Sylvinho, to Sevime Gjimshiti, Berat’s mother, as he was unable to attend due to his commitments with his club.
Gjimshiti, who plays for Atalanta in Serie A and serves as the captain of the Albanian National Team, had an outstanding year. He led Atalanta to a historic triumph in the UEFA Europa League and played a key role in Albania’s dignified representation at the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.
His selection as “National Team Player of the Year” was based on votes from his fellow national team players.
