The Albania U-19 national team played its first friendly match against North Macedonia U-19, ending in a draw at the “Skënderbeu” Stadium.
Coach Julian Ahmataj lined up the starting eleven as follows: Daniel Culi (GK), Yoni El Malem, Diart Gashi, Leon Sylejmani, Ardi Mulaj, Matia Huqi, Ergis Arifi (C), Ron Isa, Kleo Shpuza, Leart Krasniqi, and Devid Hoxha.
The match was highly competitive, with both teams fighting hard but failing to find the net. Albania dominated possession for most of the game and created several scoring opportunities, especially in the second half. Ahmataj made multiple substitutions in an attempt to secure the win, but the match ultimately ended 0-0.
The two teams will face off again in their second friendly on March 23 at 12:00, once again at the “Skënderbeu” Stadium.
