Fier Regional Football Association (SHRFF) held the General Assembly today, a very important process for the regional football area of Fier.
Present at this meeting were 23 association members represented by 33 delegates, who discussed the agenda items related to the approval of financial statements, the approval of the budget for 2025, the election of delegates to represent SHRFF in the AFA General Assembly, membership acceptance, and the approval of the new SHRFF emblem.
Present at the General Assembly proceedings of the Fier Regional Football Association was also AFA Executive Committee member Anila Basha, who began her speech with a special greeting for the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence.
Executive Committee member Anila Basha stated that the main support from the AFA is focused on youth, and thanks to important projects, the primary goal is for even more young people to embrace the beautiful sport of football.
“Let’s start with a very special greeting. Today is Kosovo’s Independence Day, so from your assembly, together we extend our best wishes and greetings to Kosovo and our brothers there.
As you know, the AFA will face significant major events, where both we at the center and you at the grassroots level can be an undeniable voice, an added value to strongly showcase what is being accomplished. Beyond the members and those of you working on the ground, there are over 28,000 registered footballers, the best representation numbers ever for a sport.
The main focus of the AFA is on youth, grassroots, and children, striving to engage even more young people in our game. The promotion of girls’ football will continue, with important projects such as “Uniforma Ime,” “UEFA Playmakers,” Topi Im,” “FIFA Forward,” TDS, and the “Elite Youth Development Academy”, supported by UEFA and FIFA, which must also be implemented at the grassroots level.
From a technical or organizational perspective, we must be more vocal, as we have emphasized in every assembly meeting so far, regarding sponsorship and support. Despite the support we receive as a Regional Association, the focus must be on local sponsors. The more funds we secure, the better we serve football, the more investments enter the football world, and the better results we will achieve.
Undoubtedly, the Association’s support will continue with the projects I mentioned, but in cooperation with private partners and local authorities, we will continue the “100 Fields” project, which has been successfully ongoing for three years. I have always noticed that the northern regions have more applications and are more willing to apply and benefit from the “100 Fields” project. I am convinced that we still need infrastructure to train staff, academies, youth, and children. I hope we have the same approach to these matters, and I am here to take note of any remarks and suggestions from you to convey them further,” said Anila Basha, member of the AFA Executive Committee.
The Chairman of the Regional Football Association of Fier, Ilias Haxhiraj, thanked those present at the Assembly of the Regional Football Association of Fier and emphasized the Association’s commitment during the period between two assemblies in achieving its objectives, particularly in training administrators of the Comet system and formalizing teams. He praised the projects of the AFA and the support of local authorities for improving infrastructure, urging associations to engage and become active parts of the football community.
During the Assembly of SHRF Fier, the financial statements and the budget for 2025 were approved.
The Regional Football Association of Fier gained a new full member, which is “K.S Arnisa” sh.a.
The delegates who will represent SHRFF at the General Assembly of FSHF are: Ilias Haxhiraj, Andi Papuçiu, and Erika Bregu.
Additionally, the members voted in favor of approving the new emblem of SHRF Fier.
