Albania U-19 for girls played this evening the third and last match, which was against Northern Ireland, valid for the second round of European Championship qualifiers for this age group. In the match played at “Egnatia Arena” stadium, the red and black girls were defeated 0 – 5.
Coach Luçije Gjini chose this formation for the field: Rajmonda Spahiu (GK), Herta Hasaj, Angela Nika, Xhesika Ndoj (C), Klesta Ago, Rosela Vasa, Stiljana Guga, Rigela Hysa, Valerie Adela Qose, Era Methoxha, Stela Vata.
The match did not start well for the Albanian national team, as the opponents took the lead in the 3rd minute thanks to a goal scored by Irish midfielder Aimee Kerr. The visitors scored the second goal from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, again with Aimee Kerr. Despite efforts to narrow the score, the first half ended 0-2 in favor of the Irish team.
The opponents score three more goals in the second half, sealing the final result at 0 -5.
Albania finished in third place in this second qualifying round of the U-19 European Championship, with a record of 1 win and 2 losses. The entire second round of Group B4 was held in Albania and was organized by the Football Association in collaboration with UEFA.
