Albania is preparing to host the final tournament of the UEFA U-17 European Championship 2025— a major event and organization entrusted for the first time to the Albanian Football Association, scheduled to take place from May 19 to June 1.

The eight finalist teams—Albania, Italy, France, Germany, Czechia, Portugal, Belgium, and England—will compete in four Albanian stadiums: “Air Albania Stadium” (Arena Kombëtare), “Niko Dovana,” “Arena Egnatia,” and “Elbasan Arena.”

As part of the promotional campaign for this historic event, the AFA organized an activity at “Emin Duraku” school in Tirana to raise students’ awareness about the importance of the tournament for Albania and Albanian football. Attending the event were AFA Executive Committee member Pano Xhixho and tournament ambassador Klaus Gjasula, who encouraged students to support the Albanian national team from the stands.

Pano Xhixho emphasized the crucial role of fan support: “We really need your presence in the stadium stands because, for the first time, Albania is participating in a European championship. It’s going to be very challenging, but I’m convinced that with your presence and support from all of us, it will be easier.”

Former Albanian national team player Klaus Gjasula highlighted the tournament’s significance: “You know how important this championship is for us. Let’s support our boys and show the world who we Albanians are—our talent, pride, and strength. Let’s show the world that we support one another. We need to work together, have faith, and I hope to see you all at the stadium.”

The AFA will continue with additional promotional and educational activities in schools across the four host cities: Tirana, Rrogozhinë, Durrës, and Elbasan.
