Euro U-17 for girls/ Albania plays the first match against Israel in Andorra

The Albania U-17 Girls’ National Team played their first match of the second round of the European Championship against Israel today. The match, held at Centre d’Entrenament FAF Santa Coloma, ended with a 3-1 victory for Israel. The only goal for the National Team was scored by Amelia Reci.

The head coach of the Albania U-17 National Team, Cyme Lulaj, sent to the field the following starting eleven: Ambra Reshiti (GK), Egla Hoxha, Sara Mustafa, Marina Rushaj, Albana Malaj, Samanta Hysa, Gerta Brahimi, Amelia Reci, Christina Heidi Bekteshi, Erina Bajramaj, and Gelda Kadiolli (C).

The match did not start well for Albania, as the team was reduced to 10 players in the 19th minute. Marina Rushaj was sent off with a red card, and Israel scored the first goal of the match in the 23rd minute through Ben Zvi. The first half ended with this result.

Despite being at a numerical disadvantage, the National Team equalized in the 67th minute through Amelia Reci. The forward scored a stunning goal with a fantastic strike from outside the box.

As the match was nearing its end, Israel scored two goals in stoppage time through Ella Esther Fabian, sealing a 3-1 victory.

On March 7, Albania will face host Andorra at 15:00, while on March 10, the red and black team will play their final match against Belarus at 12:00.
