The Albanian U-17 Women’s National Team played today their second match of the second round of the European Championship against the hosts, Andorra.
The match, held at the Centre d’Entrenament FAF, ended with a narrow 1-0 victory for Andorra.
Coach Cyme Lulaj started the match with the following starting lineup: Ambra Reshiti (GK), Sara Mustafa (C), Albana Malaj, Samanta Hysa, Gerta Brahimi, Amelia Reci, Desara Lorja, Christina Bekteshi, Isabella Kuci, Kristel Tuku, Erina Bajramaj.
The match was decided by a penalty awarded to Andorra in the 32nd minute. Elia Quilez converted the penalty accurately.
Albania tried to equalize the score until the end but was unsuccessful. In the 90th minute, the team was reduced to 10 players on the field after Amelia Reci was shown a red card.
The match ended 0-1 in favor of Andorra.
Albania will play their third and final match of this round against Belarus on Monday.
