As part of the draw for the UEFA U-17 European Championship finals, which will take place on Monday at the “House of Football,” a UEFA delegation will visit stadiums, training grounds, and hotels this weekend to assess the facilities that will host the participating teams in May.
The AFA has made significant progress in improving infrastructure, fulfilling the tasks set by UEFA. On Saturday, the delegation will assess the work carried out at the “Niko Dovana” and “Arena Egnatia” stadiums, as well as the training fields in Lushnje and Shijak.
Additionally, the hotels that will accommodate the teams and referees will be inspected.
On Sunday, inspections will continue at the “National Arena” and “Elbasan Arena,” as well as the training grounds “Selman Stërmasi,” the “Skënder Halili” complex, and the RENEA Unit field. The delegation will also visit the hotel where the UEFA team will be accommodated in May.
This UEFA visit is a significant step toward finalizing preparations, confirming the progress made by the AFA for this major European football event. On Monday, the UEFA delegation will also closely follow the EURO U-17 2025 finals draw, which will take place at the “House of Football” at 19:00.
