Egnatia Crowned Champions of Albania for the 2024/2025 Football Season After Defeating Vllaznia 4-0 in the ‘Final 4’
Egnatia was declared the champion of Albania for the 2024/2025 football season after a commanding 4-0 victory over Vllaznia in the grand final of the “Final 4.” The match took place at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium in a spectacular atmosphere and was officiated by the well-known Polish referee, Szymon Marciniak.
Both teams started the match with their best lineups:
Vllaznia: Jukaj, Gurishta, Repaj, Stojanović, Jago, Krymi, Qato, Dodaj, Mala, Gruda, Balaj.
Egnatia: Dajsinani, Xhemajli, Sota, Alijev, Fangaj, Aleksi, Zejnullai, Ujka, Fernando, Lushkja, Bajakoko.
Egnatia took the lead in the 6th minute after an attack from the right side, with Bajakoko bypassing Stojanović and passing to Lushkja, who scored the opening goal. Two minutes later, Balaj tried to equalize with a free kick, but the ball hit the crossbar.
The first half ended with Egnatia leading 1-0, while in the second half, the champions showed even greater dominance. In the 49th minute, following a cross from the right, Lushkja scored his second personal goal of the match with a header. Leo Melo netted the third goal in the 82nd minute, and Ujka sealed the 4-0 result in the 95th minute.
Egnatia finished the championship in first place and qualified for the “Final 4” final after a 0-0 draw with Partizani. The team from Rrogozhinë will represent Albania in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
After the final match at the “Arena Kombëtare,” the medal and champion title ceremony was held, attended by the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, and the General Secretary of AFA, Ilir Shulku. President Duka handed over the medals and the championship title to the Egnatia team.
