The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka has reacted after the draw for the qualifying round of World Cup ‘’Qatar 2022’’, that revealed the opponents of Albania in this new adventure. Through a status on social networks, President of AFA says that the draw has placed Albania in a difficult group, but he believes that the national team will do the best at every match and should not make mistakes.
According to him, the target for the national team should be the third place, but underlines that there are possibilities to reach the play-off zone.
‘’Group I of the World Cup is a difficult group. England, Poland, Hungary, Andorra and San Marino will be our opponents. It will be beautiful a win at ‘’Wembley’’. On the other matches we will give the maximum. We have to challenge Poland and Hungary, at home and on transfer. No mistakes should be made against Andorra and San Marino. The real target is the third place. But step after step we should think about the play-off. Always with the aim to have a team that has the target to qualify in Euro 2024’’- declared Duka in his reaction after the draw.
